We accept new or gently worn designer women’s clothing, handbags, shoes, jewelry, and accessories.
*we do NOT take swimwear, suits, menswear, children’s clothing, wedding dresses, undergarments or sleepwear.

Dress accepts items via scheduled appointment Monday through Friday, seasonally throughout the year.

Consignors receive a generous percentage of the selling price once the item has sold. The percentage the consignor receives increases with certain designer clothing and handbags. Inquire for details.

Consignors have two options for receiving credit when any of their items have sold: receiving a check or using store credit.
*For out of town consignors, we mail checks.

In order for both customers and consignors to get the most out of our boutique, we have a brand-specific pricing guide we reference when tagging items. Pricing also reflects if items are “new with tags”, designer demand, styles, and overall condition.

Every item we sell has been authenticated byEntrupy. We guarantee the authenticity of your Dress purchased items or your money back. In addition, we utilize a third-party authentication service.

“Excellent”- new with tags, like-new, or never worn

“Great” – minimal signs of use

“Good” – some signs of wear

Items are on the floor for 100 days (Some items will be extended past the 100 day period with the knowledge of the consignor).

YES! Dress has many out-of-town consignors and customers – creating a wide audience, beneficial to consignors to help move their merchandise.

Out-of-town consignors can ship items to dress (please notify the store if you choose this option), or you can schedule an appointment to bring in items next time you come through Raleigh.

At the end of the 100 day period, unsold items may be picked up by the consignor or donated.

Dress is a women’s contemporary designer resale shop. In order to keep our store current and up-to-date with trends, we do not accept merchandise over 3 years old.

*few exceptions apply (Chanel items, Gucci, Louis Vuitton handbags, other designer handbags, Hermes, luxury jewelry, etc.)
